A real gem in the Aegean Sea, often overlooked among many other possibilities in the archipelago.
Half of it, the eastern part, is rocky and dry, with its white architecture contrasting in the deep blue of the sea and the clear sky, just like a Cyclade (it's not). The other side is genuinely a Sporade (which it is), hiding in dense mediterranean pine forests its magnificent little bays from the sight of the naive.
Beautiful beaches, a lovely pedestrian-only Chora (Centre - Old Town), peacefulness and outstanding food (lamp and goat meats are raised on the island and cooked to perfection). That's a recipe for beautiful memories.
